BDAS 320 Art, Business, and Science of Distilling, Brewing, and Winemaking 3 Hours
This course is a survey of the art, business, and science of the craft beverage industry. The course will take students through the journey of an alcoholic beverage including raw ingredient sourcing, fermentation, distillation, quality control, packaging, marketing, and legal compliance. Throughout the course students will be exposed to the cultural and historical significance of various types of distilled spirits, beer, and wine, as well as the next frontier RTD (ready to drink) and seltzers.

BDAS 495 Internship in Brewing/Distilling 1-3 Hours (repeatable max of 6 hrs)
On-site experience in a brewery or distillery, conducted under the supervision of the program coordinator and local personnel. Experience could include, but is not limited to, brewing, distilling, marketing, management, or other industry-related work. Note: Registration in the certificate and consultation with a designee of the Ogden College, Gordon Ford College of Business, or Potter College Dean's Office.
